Cushion Covers

Cushion covers are the fastest way to change the character of a room without changing the furniture. A sofa that feels tired in January can feel considered by February, and the only thing that moved was the covers.

Our cushion covers are cut to 45 × 45 cm, the standard size for throw pillows in most Sri Lankan homes, so they fit inserts you already own. We carry two families. The jacquard woven covers are patterned in the weave itself rather than printed on the surface, which is why the design holds its depth after washing and why the fabric has weight in the hand. The accent covers are lighter and plainer, made to sit alongside a patterned piece rather than compete with it.

We select covers the same way we select rugs — by how they behave in a room over years, not by how they photograph on day one. That means closer attention to weave density, colourfastness in strong Colombo light, and seams that survive repeated washing. It also means we carry fewer designs than a marketplace would, because the ones that don’t hold up don’t make it to the showroom floor.

Most customers buy in pairs or threes. A common approach is two jacquard covers as anchors with a plain accent cover between them, picking up a tone from the rug underneath.
